Cooper and General Were 'Best New Tires' at the SEMA Show

There were thousands of products at the 2017 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas Oct. 31 through Nov. 3. Many of the new ones were  featured in the New Products Showcase in the Upper South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

But which new products were the best? SEMA Show judges picked the winners in 16 categories. In the Tires and Related Products category, the winner was Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. with its new Evolution H/T. There were two runners-up, both from Continental Tire the Americas LLC: the General G-Max AS-05 and the General G-Max RS.

Here are the winners in the other categories.

Collision Repair & Refinish: AllData LLC, AllData Collision Advantage.

Engineered New Product: Holley/MSD, Racepak Vantage CL1 Cloud Based Data Kit.

Exterior Accessory: Westin Automotive, HDX LED Grille.

Interior Accessory: Switch-Pros by Off Road Engineering, SP9100 Switch Panel Power System.

Merchandising Display: Lund International, Lund Truck Center V-Grid.

Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive: Austin International Mfg. Inc., 2 Ton Big Wheel Jack.

Packaging Design: Liquid Armour Protective Coatings LLC, 9H Ceramic Coating Kit.

Performance-Racing: Holley/MSD, Racepak Vantage CL1 Cloud Based Data Kit.

Performance-Street: COMP Performance Group, COMP Cams FSL Series Camshaft for GM L99.

Powersports: Holley/MSD, MSD Black Solid State Relay.

Street Rod/Custom Car: Wilwood Disc Brakes, Tandem Brake and Hydraulic Clutch Pedal Kit.

Tools & Equipment: EZ Pulley, EZ Pulley.

Van/Pickup/Sport-Utility: Elongator Tailgates, Elongator Integrated Tailgate and Ramp System.

Wheel and Related Products: Chariot Concepts/TruStack Tire Dolly, ValveStem Signpost.

The "Best New Product Award" winners were given to "the most innovative and cutting-edge automotive aftermarket products that will be consumable in 2018," said SEMA.
