Shamrock Marketing Is the Authorized Dealer of TRM's Automated Retread Equipment

Posted on January 29, 2018

Tyre Retreading Machinery SRL (TRM) has created a new line of automated retreading equipment for the U.S. market, and the Italian company has picked Shamrock Marketing Inc. of Louisville, Ky., to be the authorized dealer.

The Latitude line is built around a robotic style buffing machine that's designed to minimize process time, cut labor, and increase consistency in buff texture. TRM's goal with the Latitude line is to help retreading be more competitive with cheap, low quality, new tires. With automation, a retread shop will require fewer technicians which will help "retreaders overcome many of the labor challenges they face today."

The official launch of the equipment line will be held in March during the Mid-American-Truck-Show with live demonstrations at Shamrock Marketing's facility.

TRM has created a line of automated retreading machines, including this pressure tester. Shamrock Marketing will launch the product for the U.S. market during MATS in Louisville.

“Our vision is to bring automation to the retreading process and offer a complete alternative to the market in the U.S.," says Alessandro Villa, general manager of TRM. "We believe that our portfolio combined with the service and support of Shamrock offers an unbeatable value to the end client.”

Doug Conley, vice president of Shamrock Marketing, says “The future of retreading is automation that produces a better-quality retread, faster, smarter and at a lower cost. TRM has the heritage, experience, know-how, and resources to bring the retread process to a level of automation that will help ensure retreading’s future.

“The retreading process is behind the advancements in automation realized in other industries. We’re impressed with TRM’s work in this area and excited to bring the technology to the U.S. market.  Through our cooperation we are taking steps to make sure we have factory trained technicians in place locally to fully support the equipment in the field."

TRM manufactures tire retreading systems, and for more than 35 years has delivered solutions for all tire segments. The company also works with tire manufacturers in new tire production.

For more than 25 years Shamrock Marketing Inc. has been the exclusive supplier of Bulldog curing envelopes and major brand retread plant consumables. More recently Shamrock has entered the equipment category as the authorized dealer of Zeiss Shearography, Marigo mold cure equipment, Akarmak autoclaves, Easy Stacker tire handlers, and now TRM retread equipment.  The business is headquartered in Louisville and maintains an experienced sales and technical staff to service North and South America.
