Meet the 17 Candidates Who Want to Serve on the TIA Board

There are 17 nominees to fill four spots on the Tire Industry Association (TIA) board of directors.

Each elected member will serve a three-year term. Voting ends Sept. 1, 2018.

Voting is open only to current TIA members in good standing. Emails will be sent to all eligible TIA members and election materials will be mailed to the primary contacts at all eligible TIA member companies.

The results of the election will be announced in mid-September with the new board members taking office on Oct. 29, 2018, at TIA’s annual meeting during the Global Tire Expo in Las Vegas, Nev.

News TravelCenters Celebrates the Opening of Its First Retread Facility

TravelCenters of America LLC recently held the grand opening for its first TA Commercial Tire Network Retread Center. Located in Bowling Green, Ohio, the center uses the Goodyear UniCircle and precure processes to retread an average of 110 truck tires a day.

In Grand Prairie, Texas, near Dallas, BestOne opened its first facility. The retread facility was built with space to add two more curing chambers for the future.
News BestDrive Continues Expansion and Opens 2 Locations in Texas

BestDrive LLC, a Continental tire and ContiLifeCycle commercial tire dealer and retreader, has entered the Texas market and opened two locations, one near Dallas and another in San Antonio.
