The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) is sponsoring National Tire Safety Week, June 1-7, 2014, to focus efforts to educate U.S. drivers about the need for regular tire maintenance. Tire dealers can educate consumers about how under-inflated tires waste gasoline, increase the risk of tire damage and cause premature tire wear.

Florida rule amended to add unsafe used tire bill

The Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) reports that on April 23, 2013, the Florida Senate Appropriations Committee amended SB 1132, a state transportation bill, with the language from SB 1588, a bill to prohibit the sale of unsafe used tires.
