Yokohama announces OTR tire price hike

Yokohama Tire Corp. has announced it will implement a price increase of up to 5% on all of its off-the-road (OTR) tires in the U.S., effective July 1. There will be in-line adjustments as well, which will be announced at a later date.

Effective May 1, 2012, Michelin North America Inc. is increasing prices up to 6% on Michelin compact and agricultural tires sold in the United States and Canada.

Yokohama: six-month income drops as sales rise

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. recorded net income of 294 million yen on net sales of 258.2 billion yen for the first six months of fiscal 2011 ended Sept. 30. That compares to income of 1.2 billion yen on sales of 238.3 billion yen for the same period last year.
