The tariff will end, says, well, everybody

The waiting is over. The 25% tariff on consumer tire imports from China will not be extended.

So says a writer from "The Huffington Post." And he did the research to back up the claim, getting responses from both the White House and United Steelworkers union.

To find out what both "Huffington Post" reporter Jon Ward and Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich had to say about the subject, check out "Both the president and USW say NO MORE TARIFF."

In addition to background on the tariffs (it was 35% the first year and 30% the second year), Ulrich explains why he thought there would be another tariff implemented. "I'm glad I was wrong," he says.

With container loads of tires on the ocean just waiting to dock tomorrow (Sept. 26, 2012) or shortly thereafter, what do you think? Are you glad the tariff is ending? Did President Barack Obama and the USW get what they wanted out of the tariffs?
