Nokian Plans U.S. Tire Factory

Nokian Tyres Inc. is building a factory in the U.S. to produce passenger car, SUV and light truck tires. The plant, to be located in southeast Tennessee, will have an initial capacity to produce 4 million tires annually, and the site also will house a distribution center.

Nokian Adds to Commercial Sales Team in U.S.

Nokian Tyres North America has hired Glen Hutson as territory manager for eight states: Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. He will lead commercial sales and coordinate sales efforts in the region.

Nokian Expands in Response to North American Growth

Nokian Tyres plc is opening its first distribution center in Canada, and the tire maker recently increased the capacity of its Albany, N.Y. warehouse by 150%. Nokian says it is experiencing strong year-over-year growth in both Canada and the U.S.
