Everything automotive can be found at the annual North American International Automotive Show. The 2017 edition is being held in Detroit from Jan. 7 through Jan. 21.

Tires (Michelin North America Inc.), parts (DENSO Corp.) and materials (Steel Market Development Institute) were emphasized in one way or another. The vehicles, however, are what the NAIAS is all about.

One Chinese manufacturing company, Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), was trying to make a name for itself in Detroit. What are its plans, and what kind of vehicles is it displaying in its booth? And what brands of tires were on those vehicles?

Modern Tire Dealer Editor Bob Ulrich, fresh from the Cobo Center in Detroit, has the answers to those questions. To read about them, check out his latest blog, "China Wants to Bring These Cars into Your Bays."

What do you think about GAC's vehicles? How soon do you think it will be before you see them in your dealerships? Read the blog, then let us know what you think by leaving a comment.
