Natty at NATRE: Show organizer Gus Lima, in the periwinkle blue suit, will cut the ribbon for the third time when the North American Tire & Retread Expo opens for business on April 19.

The North American Tire & Retread Expo (NATRE) is shaking up its conference schedule in 2017. This year, the conference schedule is divided into two separate training "tracks" or programs. One focuses on passenger tires and auto service, the other on commercial tires and retreading.

NATRE will be held April 19-21, 2017, at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Tire Business is sponsoring the show’s educational conference.

The Passenger/Light Truck Track will feature the following speakers and topics.

* Bob Bittner, director of store operations, Tire Pros (American Tire Distributors Inc.): "Measure Twice, Cut Once."

* Art Blumenthal, principal, Art Blumenthal LLC: "What Can I Do Now to Ensure the Highest Value of My Business Whenever I Want to Sell It?"

* Jody DeVere, CEO, Ask Patty.com: "Insights into Marketing and Advertising to Women."

* Pam Oakes, principal, Car Care for the Clueless/DIY Motor City: "Tech vs. Service Writer: Making Money & Keeping Peace in the Bays."

Thanks to dedicated conference time, attendees will be able to enjoy a morning of education without missing any of the action in the exhibit hall. In addition, industry suppliers will offer workshops on the trade show floor. Modern Tire Dealer is the media sponsor of the event.

The last edition of the exposition had more than 100 exhibiting companies. Interested in exhibiting at or attending the show? Visit usatireexpo.com.
