The inaugural edition of GarageXpo Asia, organized by SingEx Exhibitions Pte. Ltd., will be staged on March 21–23, 2017, in Singapore. Nearly 100 international and local exhibitors will be on the trade show floor.

The three-day event will feature the automotive aftermarket's latest automotive repair and maintenance equipment, technologies and trends. It will be held in the same venue as the 11th edition of Southeast Asia's Tyrexpo Asia 2017, which will take place in Singapore EXPO Halls 1 and 2.

“GarageXpo is a series of B2B exhibitions designed for the automotive repair and maintenance industry," says Andrew Tan, deputy project director, Automotive & Commodities Cluster, for SingEx Exhibitions. "Similar to the Tyrexpo Series, the GarageXpo Series will be held in future exhibitions in India, South Africa and the United Kingdom, incorporating its unique event highlights.

"By combining Tyrexpo Asia and GarageXpo Asia within the same show floor, we strive to harness greater synergy and interactions between buyers and sellers, to create greater value for the automotive marketplace.”

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit Ltd.’s ASEAN Automotive report, the growth of vehicle population and car sales is projected to significantly increase from 3.6 million to 5.3 million over the next five years, which in turn results in a rising demand for automotive repair and maintenance services in these countries. The ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries also offer attractive opportunities for international automotive suppliers to enter the value chains, especially in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, which are not only the largest markets in the ASEAN region but also include the major producers of vehicles.

With the region’s strong economic growth and rising consumer class, Southeast Asia carries the potential to be the next global automotive hub.

GarageXpo Asia exhibitors will represent a wide range of aftermarket suppliers, including workshop, bodyworks/collision repair and diagnostic equipment manufacturers and distributors. Visitors also can benefit from additional highlights such as the GarageTalk Seminars and the GarageXpo Technical Workshops. A broad range of topics and best practices will be covered, ranging from contemporary issues to future technologies and trends.

In addition, visitors can utilize the trade show's Business Matching Services to maximize their appointments and meetings at the event.

“This initial GarageXpo show will have exhibitors including  31 Inc., A.O.K Industrial Co., Brain Bee SpA, Enercell Co. Ltd., HLT International Pte. Ltd., K-Tech Auto Solution Pte. Ltd., Newera Equipment Pte. Ltd., Ningbo Siming Automotive Co. Ltd., Saint-Gobain Abrasives, plus other leading companies in the sector,” says Tan.
