The New Jersey State Tire Dealers Association will meet on March 28, 2017, after an 18-month break to regroup and rebuild. Meeting costs and 2017 membership dues will be covered by local wholesalers and tire manufacturers.

Association President Al Breese approached wholesale distributors and tire manufacturers and asked them for their support. Thanks to their contributions, association meetings and membership will be free in 2017 at least.

“The wholesale tire distributors of the greater New Jersey area and the tire manufacturers have offered to support the Association so we are allowed to have the membership at no charge and make our meetings free,” says Breese.

The wholesalers who are supporting the New Jersey tire dealers are:

  • Jack Williams Tire Co.
  • American Tire Distributors Inc.
  • Max Finkelstein Inc.
  • Reliable Tire Co.

Breese says "just a few" tire manufacturers who are lending their support are:

  • Yokohama Tire Corp.
  • Nexen Tire America Inc.
  • Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. (Mastercraft brand)
  • Continental Tire the Americas LLC

The meeting will be March 28 at the Holiday Inn Somerset, 195 Davidson Ave., in Somerset, N.J. Cocktails start at 6:30 with dinner to follow (there is no charge for up to two people per dealership). For more information and to reserve a spot, call Al Breese at 732-887-7281 or Bud Mullaney at 732-566-1940.
