The WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and the Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda series are scheduled to race at the 3.74-mile, 17-turn road course this weekend.
WeatherTech SportsCar Championship –P teams will be allotted 16 sets of tires (including dry and wet tires), PC 14 sets, and GTD teams will receive 14 sets. That’s half of what teams received at Daytona for half the race time.
Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge – there is no set limit for the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.
Prototype Challenge presented by Mazda – there is no set limit for the PC series.
WHICH TIRE ARE THEY USING
Continental Tire has designated Blacks as the dry tire to be raced at Sebring. If teams move to wet tires, the P and GTD classes will move to Blacks, while the PC class will move to, Golds. This is the same tire that teams are currently scheduled to run at all other tracks (Daytona is the lone exception).
The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and Prototype Challenge races the same compound at all tracks in 2017.
