Nexen Tire America Inc. is looking to improve on its second place tire championship finish from 2016 during the Formula Drift 2017 season.

The first event is March 31-April 1 at the Streets of Long Beach.

Nexen will return many of the same drivers as last year, headed by 2015 Champion Frederic Aasbo in the Rockstar Energy Nexen Tire Toyota and Ken Gushi in the Greddy Racing Nexen Tire Toyota Racing 86. Also returning are Alec Hallondell, Jhonnattan Castro and Dan Burkett.

Nexen has made some improvements to last year's competition tire by tweaking the compound to perform better in both wet and dry conditions. Now known as the N'fera SUR4G, it will continue to deliver consistent performance in high-speed driving stability, cornering, grip and anti-abrasion.
