Camso, formerly Camoplast Solideal, is taking its recently enhanced lineup of forklift tires to ProMat 2017, including a press-on tire that will be released later this year.

ProMat is an every-other-year show for the manufacturing the supply chain industries. It will be held April 3-6 in Chicago.

The Camso booth, No. S2091, will provide a first glimpse of a tire that the company will launch later in 2017: the Solideal PON 775. It's a press-on tire designed for highly intense applications that provides reliability and maximum life in the most demanding environments, Camso says.

“We’ve incorporated a new technology that minimizes internal heat build-up and provides enhanced durability,” says Erick Bellefleur, product line director for material handling. “The PON 775 also features a unique and patented sidewall design which relieves stresses on the tire edges and reduces ground pressure."

To complement its industrial pneumatic line-up at ProMat, Camso also is unveiling the Solideal AIR 550, a new pneumatic industrial tire for applications that cannot run on solid tires. The Solideal AIR 550 is designed for maximum durability, and it's developed with tougher materials.

Camso also will showcase three recently released forklift tires: (Read about them here.)

Solideal RES 660 Xtreme Series: designed for very intense applications with long runs, heavy lifting, and minimal forklift idle time.

Solideal RES 550 Magnum Series: the ideal choice for applications that require medium and heavy loads but do not operate 24/7.

Solideal RES 330: suited for machines running in confined spaces on an intermittent basis.

“Fleet owners expect maximum life from a tire,” says Bellefleur. “When choosing tires for forklifts, buyers must especially focus on how the machine is being used. Over and above environment, vehicle usage intensity is the most important variable determining tire requirements."

To help make the right tire decision, Camso has developed a Usage Intensity Calculator, to analyze the level of forklift application intensity and then recommend the appropriate tire to provide maximum tire life for that specific application.
