Bruce Besancon from Alliance Tire Americas will champion sales of off-the-road tires for Yokohama Tire Corp. as the company's senior director of OTR sales.
Yokohama's parent company acquired the parent company of Alliance in 2016. Besancon was vice president of marketing for Alliance Tire Americas.
Besancon replaces Yokohama's longtime OTR Sales Director Tim Easter, who is returning to the field to work more closely with customers.
Besancon will report to Jeff Barna, chief operating officer at Yokohama, and will be responsible for OTR sales.
“Our OTR team is already one of the best in the industry, and it just got a lot stronger with the addition of Bruce,” says Barna. “He will be a major asset for us because he has nearly 30 years of OTR tire experience, counting the 20+ with Michelin, and has expertise in several areas, including product development and marketing.”
Before joining Yokohama, Besancon was instrumental in the development of the Alliance, Galaxy and Primex for the agriculture, construction and forestry segments that Alliance serves. Prior to that, Besancon held many OTR positions at Michelin, including global product manager, North American marketing director for earthmover products and field engineer.
