Telle Tire acquired Safeway Tire & Auto, located in St. Charles, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis.

The company acquired Safe Way Tire Center Inc., dba Safeway Tire & Auto in St. Charles, Mo. on March 31, 2017.

The deal gives Telle Tire a total of six retail stores in the greater St. Louis area. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Safeway Tire opened its doors in 1964. Jay Moore, a second generation owner, along with partner Dennis Budde, have operated the family business since 1985.

Aaron Telle, CEO and president of Telle Tire, says, "This is a great addition to the Telle Tire family and we believe the culture of Safeway Tire fits nicely into our organization."

With the recent acquisitions Telle Tire is in the middle of a rebranding strategy investing more than $225,000 into its stores to create a cohesive message and look. This includes everything from an updated logo and name, to purchasing 12 loaner vehicles, updating interiors and exteriors, and creating a strong branding message.

Telle, a fourth generation tire dealer, says, "We are extremely excited about the future of this company and we will continue to look for great opportunities that align with our image and objectives."

Since 2011 sales have increased more than 375% through acquisition and organic growth.

"This is a special year for the firm not only as we start a new chapter with our rebranding, but we also are celebrating 75 years of excellent service to the St. Louis community. I know my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather would be so proud and happy of the success and growth this company has seen," Telle says.

Telle is among the young leaders featured by Modern Tire Dealer as On the Rise.
