Relying on the incomparable strength of its Wildpeak off-road tires, Team Falken and its core group of drivers put on a superb performance at this past weekend’s Ultra4 Racing Vaquero 212 in Sierra Blanca, TX, taking second place in the 4500 Class, 1st in 4600 and second and third podium spots in the 4800 class.
Shawn Rants, Sr., qualified 1st in the 4500 Class, while “Mad” Mike Bedwell took 5th. Rants, Sr., running Falken Wildpeak M/T 37” tires, finished in 2nd place among the 14 entrants. Competing against eight other drivers in the 4600 Class, Ben Varozza of VP Racing qualified 2nd, running Wildpeak M/T 35” tires and took the win. Other Falken qualifiers in this class included Albert Contreras (3rd qualifier); David Ball (4th); and Sean McNamara (7th). Finally, among the 18 entrants within the 4800 Class, Jason Bunch qualified 4th on Wildpeak M/T 37” tires, and finished 2nd, followed by Andy Brown, who earned the final podium step (3rd) after qualifying 7th.

The next Ultra4 Racing event for the East tour is the Ultra4S at Davis, OK, on May 19, while the West-based competitors will run June 9th at the MetalCloak Stampede in Rancho Cordova, CA.
