Big O Tires LLC franchisees celebrated growth in all business metrics at their annual convention April 4-5, 2017, in San Diego, Calif.
The TBC Corp. subsidiary says franchisees realized increased same-store total retail, service and tire unit sales as well as increased car count in 2016. In fact, all metrics outpaced industry performance.
Big O franchisees also realized significant total sales growth in 2016 welcoming one additional store to the $6 Million Club and one to the $7 Million Club and many others moving up to the next level of annual sales.
The team also celebrated their growth with the addition of new locations, a key initiative for Big O Tires. The team welcomed 19 new stores in the last year, compared to the addition of 14 new stores in 2015.
More than 700 franchise owners, managers, corporate associates and suppliers attended the event.
Big O Tires says its convention provided an opportunity for franchisees to learn and share valuable ideas to bring back to their individual store teams and incorporate into everyday business operations. The event included franchisee panel discussions, executive presentations, keynote speakers, breakout sessions and a trade show.
This year, two keynote speakers delivered messages to the franchisees. Mark Eaton, NBA all-star and team building expert, inspired attendees to uncover their best talents and cultivate those abilities to achieve long-term success. Dave Anderson, president of international sales and leadership training and consulting company LearntoLead, taught franchisees how to develop a winning team of game changers that have the talents, process and guidance to get the job done and go above and beyond to make their businesses flourish.
All attendees had the opportunity to pay tribute to the importance of educating future generations through the Big O Tires Scholarship Fund. This year, $83,500 was raised from participants at the event; yet another increase compared to last year when more than $72,000 was raised.
In addition to the importance of education, Big O Tires also recognized the importance of hard work and a drive to win in its “Best of the Best” awards ceremony:
