Falken-sponsored Ultra4 Class 4500 Team GenRight Off Road and driver Jordan Pellegrino took top honors in the Limited Buggy Category last weekend at the Ultra4 MetalCloak Stampede in Rancho Cordova, CA.

Third place was nabbed by Shawn Rants, who also competes on Falken tires.

Along with more than 100 entrants, Pellegrino and Rants ran the two-mile loop on Falken WILDPEAK M/Ts, a track in Prairie City SVRA that was set up short-course style with multiple rough rock sections “that were taking vehicles out all weekend,” Pellegrino noted.  “There was more carnage there than a race like King of the Hammers,” he added.

With perfect weather conditions, the track responded to Jordan throughout the weekend.  He started by winning the preliminary event, which placed him on the pole for the main event.  He only experienced one true run for his lead, but that driver suffered a mechanical failure two laps from the finish, which allowed Jordan to drive just fast enough to keep his distance from the rest of the entries.

“The car worked flawlessly,” he said, “not even a flat tire all weekend.  We took the win almost three minutes before the second place car came across the finish line.”  Rants rolled in third place one minute later.

“It was a true race of experience and longevity,” added John Linen, Falken’s new Supervisor for Light Truck Events.  “Falken tires were equally adept under the control of both Jordan and Team GenRight as well as through Shawn’s strong effort.”

Falken and Pellegrino will next run at the Ultra4 Fallon 250 in Fallon, NV, September 1st.  Falken Tires is the manufacturer of high performance on- and off-road tires available for a wide array of popular cars, trucks, off-road vehicles and crossovers.
