The two generations of leaders atop K&M Tire Inc. are taking on new roles with the family-owned tire wholesaler based in Delphos, Ohio. Ken Langhals, founder and current president of K&M, will become the company's CEO on Jan. 1, 2018. His daughter, Cheryl Gossard, the current vice president, will take on the role of company president on that same date.
With the new organizational structure, Langhals will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, vison and financial well-being of the company, and Gossard will be responsible for the daily business operations and the implementation of all corporate goals.
K&M was founded in 1970, and the company has experienced steady growth. It currently employs more than 500 people and operates 22 locations in the Great Lakes, Midwest and Great Plains regions of the U.S., and serves tire dealers in 20 states. Langhals says he's excited about his daughter's leadership focus for the business' future. “Cheryl has been a strong contributor in many areas of the company, driving change and helping us grow the business. She has proven that she is an outstanding leader supporting our company vision, mission and values.”
Gossard has more than 20 years of experience at K&M.
The company says both Langhals and Gossard will continue to support the company’s top priority of making “the customer the most important person in our business.”
