Discount Tire plans to add stores in Pennsylvania's largest cities and surrounding communities.

Discount Tire plans to expand into Pennsylvania. The first store will open in the Pittsburgh market.

The company did not specify where the Pittsburgh-area store will be located or when it is expected to open. However, the Discount Tire told MTD the new stores are expected to be new construction and property acquisition for the stores is underway.

In addition, Discount Tire says it will be announcing more stores in Pennsylvania markets.

Since 2013, Discount Tire has expanded into ten new states, including a recent investment in new tire store locations in Virginia.

The company cites the expansion of its footprint in major U.S. markets and the addition of neighborhood retail tire stores in new states, including Pennsylvania, as key areas of focus for future growth.
