Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) is exhibiting an extensive BKT-branded portfolio at Intermat 2018 (International Exhibition for Construction and Infrastructure) going on now through April 28 in Paris.
The company is debuting its Portmax PT 93 at the show, and also has on display products from its Earthmax lineup for the OTR segment as well as a selection of tires for industrial equipment.
* The Portmax PT 93, size 280/75 R 22.5, is designed for tractors in heavy-duty operations within ports, container terminals as well as logistic centers and hubs, and industrial sites, says BKT. The special antistatic tread compound offers resistance against wear even under the toughest operating conditions, limiting replacement intervals and related equipment downtime.
* The radial Portmax PM 90, designed for reach stackers operating in container handling applications in port environments, also is displayed in size 18.00 R 25. Multi-ply steel belts offer strength, resistance and durability making it ideal for heavy lifting operations requiring a high level of stability, the company notes.
* The Liftmax LM 81 forklift tire, size 7.00 R 12, also is on display. Its distinguishing features are comfort and durability, favoring the reduction of operating costs even over long distances, BKT notes. Its fellow Airomax AM 27, displayed in size 445/95 R 25, is a mainly road-oriented tire that is ideal for crane applications in the construction sector. It is particularly suitable for aggressive terrains at construction sites, BKT says.
* Designed for OTR environments are three Earthmax all-steel tires. Displayed in size 26.5 R 25 is Earthmax SR 53 for loaders and dozers operating on rocky terrain; the Earthmax SR 31, designed for rigid dumpers and wheeled loaders, exhibited in size 26.5 R 25; and the Earthmax SR 50, size 26.5 R 25, another loader tire engineered for demanding loading or levelling operations.
"We are very glad that we can be present at Intermat 2018 with an extensive and multiple tire selection suitable for a variety of different applications, ready to satisfy an increasing demand – sign of a positive trend on the international construction market,” says Lucia Salmaso, MD of BKT Europe. “I am quite confident that a new cycle is starting for this sector, which will certainly lead to change and great challenges for all operators."
