"We are closely following the successful ramp up of our plant in Hungary, which will further fuel our growth in the continent and beyond,” says Apollo Tyres' Benoit Rivallant.

"We are closely following the successful ramp up of our plant in Hungary, which will further fuel our growth in the continent and beyond,” says Apollo Tyres' Benoit Rivallant.

Benoit Rivallant will succeed Mathias Heimann as the president of European Operations for Apollo Tyres Ltd.

Rivallant, 53, has more than 30 years of extensive experience in Europe, Asia and Oceania in the tire industry, and was the driver of Apollo Tyres’ successful introduction of commercial vehicle tires in Europe in his previous role as group head of global product management for commercial vehicle tires. He joined Apollo in 2014.

"It is our corporate philosophy to identify, nurture and promote talent internally," says Neeraj Kanwar, Apollo's vice chairman and managing director. "Benoit, with his rich and varied experience, is the right person to further lead Apollo’s growth strategy in Europe."

Heimann, who has been leading the company’s European operations successfully for the last four years, will be moving into an advisory role.
