Forty-four Point S stores in the U.S. have been named top performers for 2018. Their ratings are based on essential brand standards the tire dealers set for themselves and expect to carry out across the 200+ plus stores in the network.
Those standards were created by the Point S Brand Protection Committee, which was led by Cory Brown, a Point S board member and owner of three stores in South Dakota. The committee is focusing on strategy by integrating branding, operational and experiential measures across the system while providing insights to dealers. Based on a scorecard with 100 possible points, each store is graded according to a checklist that focuses on the customer experience. Point S has partnered with Market Force for the entire process.
In 2018, stores were reviewed twice — in both the spring and the fall.
“It was great seeing my fellow owners not just adopt the essential brand standards but self-enforce them across their entire operation,” says Brown.
Clint Young, director of sales and business development for Tire Factory Inc., dba Point S USA, says, “The feedback from these customer experience audits is invaluable. We all learned a lot and found areas to improve and focus on. It was impressive seeing a 7% bump in average scores across our entire co-op from the first round of surveys to the second."
With the audit results in hand, the Point S Top Shop for Customer Experience Award was created. To achieve Top Shop designation, a store needed to score in the top percentile of all Point S locations achieving a combined Market Force report card score of 95% or higher.
“We are proud to announce that we had 44 stores qualify for Top Shop honors," says Young. "These owners are leaders in our industry and represent the value Point S brings to its customers, tire vendors, and are a beacon for other independent tire dealers to join our coop."
“The Top Shop Winners cap a successful 2018 partnership with Market Force," says Walter Lybeck, CEO of Point S USA. "This will be a key component continuing into 2019. Market Force has provided location-level customer experience management solutions and actionable feedback for our Owners. It has reinforced the strength of our brand and our Groups commitment to their customer’s experience."
