Bridgestone Corp. is sponsoring the first official video game of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
"As the first partner of The Pegasus Dream Tour, Bridgestone is committed to helping the IPC engage new and younger audiences to increase awareness and popularity of paralympic sports," say Bridgestone officials.
The Pegasus Dream Tour places players in a virtual Paralympic Games setting. The game, which will launch in 2020, will be accessible on various platforms, including smartphones.
"Bridgestone believes in the power of the paralympic movement to create a more inclusive world through sport and inspire people of all abilities to chase their dreams," says Mitsuhira Shimazaki, vice president and officer of brand strategy for the Tokyo, Japan-based tiremaker.
Tokyo will host the 2020 Paralympic Games, Aug. 25-Sept. 6.
"As first partners, Bridgestone will have unique activation withint the game" and will support the IPC during its launch efforts.
