Giti restructures its management team

July 22, 2014

Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. has reorganized its senior management team. Two top executives changed positions; another joined the company.

There are two reasons for the reorganization, according to Giti:

1. to capitalize on its rapid growth.

2. to take full advantage of its expansion plans in North America.

Armand Allaire, who joined Giti Tire (USA) last December as vice president of marketing, has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Longtime Giti Tire executive Tom McNamara has been named executive vice president of business development. McNamara had been serving as executive vice president of sales and marketing.

Veteran commercial tire marketer Patrick Gunn (below) has joined the company as director of sales and marketing for commercial tires. Gunn has extensive experience in the sales and marketing of medium and heavy truck tires, as well as off-highway tires and retreading operations. He will report to Allaire.

“We have introduced many outstanding products and have had much success in the North American marketplace, but our journey has just started,” says Enki Tan, executive chairman of the Giti Tire Group. “With our new organizational structure, we have all the conditions in place to deliver the best value proposition to our customers, to continue to grow responsibly and build a world-class company and culture for Giti’s long-term success in North America.”

Sylvia Soerijadi will continue in her role as chief financial officer, while Julianto Djajadi will remain executive vice president of business operations. They, along with Allaire and McNamara, will report to Tan.

The Giti Tire Group operates eight manufacturing plants around the world. It plans to build a ninth in Chester County, S.C.

Giti Tire (USA) markets and sells a family of brands: GT Radial, Primewell, Dextero, and Runway tires. For more information on GT Radial, visit www.gtradial.com.
