Federal Corp. announces management changes

Federal Corp. announced that following its latest annual shareholder conference and board meeting June 12, 2014, the company appointed Shao Jin Ma as chairman of the Federal Group and Shu Jam Ma as chairman and general manager of Federal Corp.

Federal Corp. was established in 1954 as the first registered tire company in Taiwan. During this era, Federal Corp. entered into a 20-year technical cooperation with Bridgestone Corp. It commenced exporting business in the 1960s. The era laid the foundation to a remarkable path of success.

Shao Jin Ma entered Federal Corp. in 1967. The tire manufacturer says it successfully launched a whitewall tire in the 1970s and became one of the first to produce radial passenger tires in China in the late 1970s.

It commenced a 20-year technical cooperation with Sumitomo-Dunlop, and in 1987 it created the Federal brand. In 1997, Federal Corp. established its second factory in China.

Shu Jam Ma joined Federal Corp. in 1998 and was appointed CEO in 2004, when he was the youngest CEO in the tire industry, notes Federal.

He was dedicated to the development of the SS595 and 595RS-R tires, which Federal Corp. says made it the leader in motorsports products among Taiwan’s tire manufacturers. Federal Corp.’s slogan for its 60th anniversary is “It’s Just the Beginning.”

The 60-year effort of Federal Corp. has created a highly experienced management team. Its multilingual team focus on TQC (total quality control) as well as prompt service to all parts of the world.
