The International Tire & Rubber Association (ITRA) has unveiled its Video Training Series for Tire Retreaders and Repairers that covers vital topics like basic tire construction, nail hole repairs, section repairs and others.
"Each of the 13 videos features step-by-step procedures for performing jobs safely and professionally in a retread or repair facility," ITRA officials say.
ITRA is assembling workbooks to correspond with the tapes that include post-course tests and lab sheets that must be completed by service techs and signed by company management.
The Lousiville, Ky.-based organization will issue Certificates of Training to those who successfully complete the program.
