"Goodyear's North American Tire region has met the ISO 14001 certification requirements of all the major automotive manufacturers," say Goodyear officials.
"ISO 14001 is an international standard that defines the requirements for environmental management systems used to identify and reduce potential impacts to the environment from an organization's activities.
"The system must include a commitment to comply with all applicable government regulations as well as a commitment to pollution prevention and continual improvement that goes beyond legal requirements."
