ATMC taps Gerke as board chair; Rowe retires

May 7, 2014

The Automotive Training Managers Council announced that its board has elected Holly Gerke, director of Technical Training for Penske Truck Leasing, as the new chair.

Gerke replaces Darrell Rowe, who recently retired from Bridgestone Retail Operations and subsequently stepped down from his position as chair of the ATMC board of directors, having served on it since 2009 and previously as treasurer and vice chair.

“The work that is done by ATMC is powerful for our industry and I look forward to helping lead this organization as it continues to support the members in their efforts to provide high-quality training,” said Gerke.

She is the third female member to serve in the leadership position in the council's 30 year history, having been preceded by Janine Sine of TRW in 1988 and by Bonnie Karim of the US Postal Service in 2002.
