The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced the recent hire of Stephen Heaps in the position of training and certification coordinator where he will handle grading of tests, tracking of certifications and recertifications, and providing support services to training clients.
Heaps comes to TIA most recently from Southern California where he was employed as a warehouse and shipping associate in the plastics industry. Prior to that he worked as shipping and receiving supervisor for the University of Southern Mississippi.
"We are fortunate to have such a diligent and hardworking professional join our staff," said TIA senior vice president of training Kevin Rohlwing.
"With the number of technicians participating in our training, having Stephen join our training team will ensure that the level of customer service our members expect will remain at its highest level."
Heaps recently received his TIA Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Instructor Certification and will soon take the Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) course.
