Michelin North America promotes Guillon

June 21, 2001

Jean-Michel Guillon received a major promotion when he was named chief operating officer of the Michelin Automotive Industries division and executive vice president of Michelin North America Inc. Guillon was formerly vice president of sales for Michelin Americas Small Tires (MAST).

In his new position, he is in charge of Michelin's original equipment passenger and light truck tire business in North America. Guillon replaces John Grimaldi, who is the new head of Groupe Michelin's component product line and a member of the parent company's college of directors.

Guillon's promotion left a hole in the MAST sales department that was quickly filled. Erik Olsen was moved from vice president of sales and marketing at Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. to vice president of MAST sales.

The moves continue a restructuring of MNA's sales and marketing departments begun earlier this year. On May 1, Alison Heiser took over as vice president of marketing for MAST. She reports to MAST COO Pete Selleck.

Heiser replaced Scott Clark, who accepted a "training assignment" to Groupe Michelin headquarters in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

David Jones, former director of customer development, replaced Heiser as Michelin brand manager.
