Vipal exhibited at Truck World 2014 in Canada

April 23, 2014

Retreading product manufacturer Vipal participated in the Truck World in Toronto, Canada, along with Manley Tire, Vipal´s partner in Canada. The fair, which took place April 10-12, brought together over 350 exhibitors.

One of the new products the Brazilian company had in its booth was the VL130 ECO line, the first in South America to be verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay transport program, which encourages carriers to use products that save fuel and provide a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.

The VL130 ECO tread offers low rolling resistance, which generates less heat, ensuring less fatigue to the carcass. It also features rounded shoulders, which reduce the effects of side drag. Manufactured with special rubber compounds, the ECO tread reduces fuel consumption by up to 10%, also respecting the environment, the company notes.

"The first day was the most significant for us,” says Stephen Manley, founder of Manley Tire. “This year we doubled the size of our booth, something that really left a good impression on visitors. We already noticed results, straight after the show.”
