Team Falken scores in Nor-Cal Rock Racing Series

April 14, 2014

Team Falken, manufacturer of high performance on- and off-road tires, added two more first place finishes last weekend at the Nor-Cal Rock Racing Series competing in Sacramento.  The regional race program is a sister series to Ultra4 and King of the Hammers, following many of the same rules.

Taking the top podium in the 4500 class was Justin Hall of Team Tsuda Racing/Rock Hard Racing competing on Falken’s new WildPeak MT tires in the 37x12.50R17 size.  Hall also finished first in the W.E. Rock event last month, running on Falken’s competition-spec WildPeak MT 38X13.50R17.

Ben Varozza and Jacob Pacheco of VP Racing took their stock class Jeep to first in the 4600 class.  The team ran specially grooved WildPeak All-Terrain (AT) tires.

“It’s extremely gratifying to see our Falken-shod teams perform so well,” stated Nick Fousekis, Falken’s Director of Motorsports Marketing.  “The new WildPeak MT is proving to be a very competitive tire, maintaining its grip and control in very challenging conditions.  We utilize the data we gather from each event to continually advance our product, both in off-road racing settings and for our consumer audience who want the best from their on- and off-road tire.”

“Once again, we are celebrating a significant accomplishment for Falken Tire,” added Nestor Cabrera, Falken’s Off-Road Supervisor.  “We’ve partnered with some very good teams and drivers and they are spurring our Falken WildPeaks to their advantage.”

“The Falken WildPeak MTs never let me down and gripped the rocks like no other,” declared Hall. “Pushing hard the first two laps, I gave myself a good quarter-track lead and settled into a comfortable pace to take care of the rig. From the start to the last lap, the car worked flawlessly and never skipped a beat!”
