Jaclyn “Jackie” Pobiega, 36, communications manager of commercial vehicle tires for Continental Tire the Americas LLC, was killed in an auto accident April 1, 2014, in Fort Mill, S.C.
Pobiega was responsible for commercial tire marketing communications for the U.S. and Canada, and was a key player on Conti's global and Americas region marketing communication teams.
She served as the public relations voice of Conti’s commercial vehicle tire division, maintaining an extensive media database and working intensively with industry journalists to fulfill her marketing and public relations strategies.
She graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Ohio, in 1995 and from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University, 1999 with a B.S. in Journalism. She had been in her current position at Continental since 2009.
She is survived by her husband Michael, children Robert (age 6) and Ellen (age 2).
