Cooper and the Kincaids take on TORC

March 18, 2014

Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is returning as an Official Series Partner of the The Off-Road Championship (TORC) for the 2014 season.

"We have a long and proud history in motorsports that spans Indy Light Series, ProMazda, USF2000 and IMSA Prototype Lites," says Chris Pantani, director of motorsports for Cooper. "The TORC series adds a fantastic dimension to that effort with high-speed, off-road excitement and nationwide venues.

"Were very pleased to be an Official Series Partner again this year, as well as a commitment to activate our brand at the largest short track off-road racing events in the country thanks to TORC."

As an Official Series Partner, Cooper will engage with TORC's national fan base through an array of television, radio, print, digital and social media exposure. In addition, the company will continue its strong and energetic on-site presence at TORC events with the Cooper Tire motorsports display.

The company also is partnering with Jeff Kincaid Motorsport LLC in TORC. Kincaid Motorsports features a world-class father and son combination of Jeff Kincaid, racing in the Traxxas #4 Pro 2 truck, and his son, Keegan, the 2013 Pro Light Champion, in the Traxxas #7 Pro Light truck.

“Kincaid Motorsports is synonymous with winning in short course racing, especially at Bark River and world famous Crandon International Raceway," says Pantani. "As proven winners, the Kincaid family has a long legacy in short track off-road racing. We expect both Jeff and Keegan to have an immediate impact in their respective classes.”

“We have admired the Cooper brand ever since its arrival in off-road racing, and we are looking forward to Cooper Tire getting us on top of the box and competing for more championships," adds Jeff Kincaid, who has captured seven Pro Light championships and has more than 80 career wins.

Keegan Kincaid won his first Pro Light Championship in 2013, with five wins and 11 podium finishes to his credit.
