Why a tire expiration date is good for all!

Order Reprints

Maybe an expiration date on tires is not the hot button, stress-ridden issue we think it has to be. While the pros and cons are debated, our industry may be missing the point.

So says Greg Smith, publisher of Modern Tire Dealer. "What's all the fuss about?" he asks. This is all good for our industry, from the tire manufacturers on down!"

"How so?" you may ask. To find out how, read MTD Editor Bob Ulrich's latest blog, "Tire aging: The joke is on the government!"

The blog follows on the heels of Ulrich's previous blog on tire aging, which sets the stage for Smith's comments.

What do you think of Smith's analysis of what was thought to be a very complex issue? Let us know by reading the blog and leaving a comment!
