IPA introduces portable heavy-duty trailer tester

Feb. 27, 2014

Innovative Products of America Inc. (IPA) has expanded its line of trailer testers with the #9102 Heavy Ranger MUTT, a portable and lightweight solution for testing lights and electric brakes.

The company says the new trailer tester is compatible with seven-way round pin connection types and is designed to simulate all electrical circuits while providing short protection on industry standard pin configurations. The water resistant, "ammo can" case allows for on-the-go testing without the need for a tow vehicle.

"The Ranger MUTT provides an efficient and professional method for inspecting a trailer prior to hook up and the purchase price is less than one ticket for malfunctioning trailer lights," says Dan Engelsen, technical expert at IPA.

The company says the Heavy Ranger MUTT is made in the U.S. and features an external power accessory port and internal battery compartment that uses common motorcycle type batteries (not included). The trailer tester comes with a battery charger and IPA's 24-hour repair or replace warranty policy.
