Falken Tire Corp. announced the promotion of Ken Masaoka to vice president, Corporate Planning.
Masaoka joined Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Falken's parent company, in 1993 and began his career in the Hybrid Rubber Products division, working at the headquarters in Kobe, Japan.
In 2006 he was transferred to SRIT (SRI Tire Trading Ltd.) in Tokyo, where he was responsible for overseeing Sales for the East Asia Region. After one year, Masaoka was promoted to manager of the North America Region as Falken's key contact person at SRIT.
Masaoka joined Falken Tire Corp. full time in the U.S. in January 2012 as director, Corporate Planning prior to this promotion.
