Titan announces changes to board

The board of directors of Titan International Inc. announced the retirement of Mitchell Quain, effective Dec. 31, 2013, and the addition of Gary Cowger, effective Jan. 1, 2014.

Quain had served on Titan’s board for 17 years. He will remain involved in corporate matters in the future, according to the company.

Cowger is the chairman and CEO of GLC Ventures, LLC, a management consultancy on business, manufacturing and technology strategy and global organizational structures and implementation.

He is also immediate past chairman of the board of trustees at Kettering University (formally General Motors Institute) and serves on the board of directors of Delphi Automotive and Tecumseh Products, as well as the Detroit Symphony and the College for Creative Studies.

Cowger worked at General Motors from 1965 until his retirement in Dec. 2009. His last assignment was group vice president for global manufacturing, global manufacturing engineering and labor relations.
