TRIB and Bridgestone/Firestone prepare to launch tire inflation campaign

The Tire Retread Information Bureau (TRIB) and Brigestone/Firestone (BFS) Inc. are co-sponsoring the distribution of more than 100,000 tire inflation brochures.

The brochures, which outline the consequences of underinflation, will be handed out by highway patrol officers at weight stations throughout the United States and Canada early next month.

"The thought of having more than 100,000 brochures distributed to truckers should prove beneficial to the retread industry, especially since the back page of the brochure is entirely dedicated to retreading," says TRIB Managing Director Harvey Brodsky.

BFS will pay for most of the project, which is TRIB's biggest promotion ever, according to Brodsky.
