150-Plus Attend Week Two of Free TIA ATS Training

May 29, 2020

More than 150 people attended the second week of the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA)  Automotive Tire Service (ATS) training. The free webinar course – which consisted of nine, 30-minute classes – covered demounting, mounting and inflation.

The first week of the course, held in mid-May, addressed vehicle lifting and drew 198 attendees. “Classes have been a combination of technicians and a wide range of companies in the tire industry like suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors,” say TIA officials.

Registration for week three (June 2-4), which will cover tire balancing, is still open and registration for the week four webinar on wheel torque is now available. TIA staff members provide instruction and will address questions during and after class.

Week five (June 16-18) will address tire repair and the final week of the series (June 23-25) will cover tire pressure monitoring system service.

TIA’s free ATS Webinars are held every Tuesday through Thursday at 10:00 am, 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm EDT. Technicians can register at www.tireindustry.org/automotive-tire-service-webinars. For questions, contact [email protected].
