McCarthy Tire Locations to Stay Open During Coronavirus Crisis

McCarthy Tire Service Co. Inc.’s 60-plus locations and 10 retread plants will stay open until further notice and the dealership will continue to offer emergency roadside service.

“Our stores and retread plants are running under normal operations and we are here to serve our customers during this challenging time,” President John McCarthy Jr. wrote in a letter that can be viewed in its entirety here.

The Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based dealership also will continue to offer emergency roadside service to help trucks return to service.

"Our customers are on the front lines of the COVID-19 situation, and we are here to support them,” he wrote. “Our leadership team determined that our stores provide essential services to mission-critical vehicles for government agencies, first responders and municipalities, medical supply companies, consumer goods and food delivery fleets, big box stores, logistics companies, and expedited delivery fleets.

“Our retail stores handle passenger vehicles and light trucks for medical personnel, police departments, the Red Cross, and public utility companies," he added.

McCarthy Tire has locations in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Caroline and South Carolina.
