Michelin Closes Some European Factories

March 19, 2020

Michelin Group has closed "for at least one week" some of its factories in Europe.

The company on March 18 said it was "taking all the measures required to safeguard the health of its employees, in close cooperation with local authorities in every host country."

As part of that, Michelin decided to close, for at least one week, "its production facilities located in the European countries most affected so far by the pandemic."

(In its announcement the company didn't identify which facilities or countries were affected by the shut down. Modern Tire Dealer is reaching out to Michelin to get that information and will update this story as the details are available.)
