Longtime tire industry engineer Tim Baker has been promoted to deputy general manager of A3T, the technical center for Triangle Tire in Akron, Ohio.

Baker joined Triangle Tire in 2014 and most recently served as project engineer. He also has worked for both Kumho Tire USA Inc. and Bridgestone Americas Inc. as a tire design engineer. He is replacing Ed Montgomery, who has retired from Triangle.

“Tim has a wealth of knowledge about tire product development and the United States tire industry, as a whole,” says Manny Cicero, CEO of Triangle Tire USA. “He also has experience as a successful business entrepreneur, which is beneficial to our company and customers as we develop products for the U.S. market.”
