Caterpillar Inc. has approved the Maxam MS405 L4 tire in size 875/65R29 for use on certain 982M medium wheel loaders.
The Maxam MS405 65 series is designed for high-torque applications that require "extreme traction," according to Maxam Tire North America Inc. officials.
"Featuring a deep E4/L4 lug pattern that combines excellent grip, stability and performance, the MS405 provides users (with) a solution that meets all harsh demands. Developed with a cut-resistant tread compound and deep undertread, the puncture-resistant MS405 allows superior productivity and minimal downtime."
Maxam also supplies its MS302 in size 23.5R25 as a factory fitment option for the Caterpillar 950GC, 950L, 950M, 962L and 962M in certain regions. In addition, the tire has been validated and approved for future factory fitment on additional Caterpillar medium wheel loaders.
