The recent opening of stores in Westfield and Avon brings Tire Discounters Inc. to eight outlets in the greater Indianapolis area, just six months after entering that market in June 2019.

Founded in 1976 by Chip Wood, the family-owned company offers a free alignment with the purchase of four tires with standard installation.

Wood remains the sole owner and company chairman, but over the past several years has been smoothly transitioning to the second generation of leadership. Ward, an employee for over 20 years, is works closely with Chip’s children; Anna, Steven, and Evan Wood to help them learn the business from the ground up.
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Tire Discounters is the seventh largest independent tire store chain in the United States, according to the 2019 Modern Tire Dealer 100.
