Community colleges throughout North Carolina are offering the Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) training and certification program.
TIA is partnering with the North Carolina Tire Dealers Association (NCTDA) and the North Carolina Community Colleges to bring TIA’s ATS program to college campuses in the state.

Certified training doesn’t get any more affordable and convenient than this, according to Brian Owens, chair of NCTDA’s training development committee.
“We have already accomplished three classes since our start date in September, and currently have three more more being provided between now and spring at different locations in the state,” says Owens.
Scholarships for TIA’s ATS training are available for students who are employees of NCTDA members. “As an association, it’s all about promoting safety and professionalism to our business teams and customers,” says Pugh.
