A New Online Tire Subscription Service Targets Vehicle Owners

Dec. 6, 2017

Sentury Tire North America LLC is test marketing an online subscription service for tires in Georgia, Florida and parts of Alabama and South Carolina. The company has 40 service locations participating in the test.

For as low as $17.95 a month, the vehicle owner will receive new AvanTech tires, free tire repair or replacement as needed, and roadside assistance. The monthly fee is based on the size of the tire and the vehicle’s estimated annual mileage driven.

The subscription service, implemented under Qingdao Sentury Tire Co. Ltd.’s AvanTech Tires LLC subsidiary, was developed by Rami Helminen, Sentury Tire North America’s CEO. To subscribe, vehicle owners need to visit https://www.avantech.tires/home and complete the following steps:

1. Click on “Subscribe Now."

2. Fill in their vehicle information, including tire size, estimated yearly mileage and license plate number.

3. Select their preferred service point from the list provided.

4. Add subscriber payer information (an Avantech.tires verification code will be emailed to them).

5. Pay the first and last month’s fee online.

Because it is a test program, the subscription service has a limited number of tire sizes available. The estimated delivery time is two to three business days; when tires have been shipped to the selected service point, the service will send an email or text message to the subscriber. Additional fees may apply for non-tire related issues, such vehicle alignment and disposal of non-AvanTech brand tires.

Customers are responsible for regular service visits. If they fail to take their vehicles in for a service visit at least once every five to seven months, they will be charged two times the monthly fee for the eighth month and following months from the last service visit until their next service visit.

As long as the subscriber pays the monthly fee, the set of tires will be replaced when they wear down to a 2/32nds-inch tread depth.

Sentury Tire North America is expected to break ground on its consumer tire plant in LaGrange, Ga., next year.
