Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has received the Rubber Manufacturers Association's (RMA) Year 2000 Safety and Health Improvement Program award.
Criteria for recognition included having an incident rate for lost workdays that was 75% better than the average percentage provided by the 19 tire and rubber companies that supplied data to the RMA and lowering the lost workday rate by at least 20% from 1999.
